Descripción
Tretinova®, Isotretinoin 20mg Capsules (13-cis-retinoic acid), which is a derivative of Vitamin A. Its main indication is the treatment of nodule-cystic acne or with a serious healing component, acting on the main causes of acne which do not respond to any other topical or oral treatments.
Tretinova® has advantages on its absorption and great stability because of its pharmaceutical dosage form in soft gelatin capsule, which is formed by two gelatin films containing the liquid active principle.
It is exclusively managed under medical prescription.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to its components, pregnancy, lactation, liver failure, kidney failure, hyperlipidemia, hyper-vitamin A, simultaneous treatment with tetracycline (risk of benign intracranial hypertension), women in childbearing age, unless the conditions of the Pregnancy Prevention Program are met.
Warnings and precautions
Children (not indicated for the treatment of pre-pubertal acne or recommended in children under 12 years), past history of depression, eye disorders, monitoring of liver enzymes, serum lipids and glycaemia (more often in diabetes, obesity, alcoholism or lipid metabolism disorder); renal failure. Acute exacerbation of acne in its initial period. Suspend if uncontrolled hypertriglyceridemia or pancreatitis, benign intracranial hypertension, severe diarrhea. Keratolytic or exfoliative preparations must be avoided, as well as the exposure to the sun or UV radiation, chemical dermabrasion and waxing depilation up to 5-6 months after treatment. Dismiss pregnancy and take contraceptive measures, at least one month before and after the treatment. Do not donate blood until 1 month after treatment is completed.
